Daily needs and emergency services app ‘OK Sir’ is set to launch its operations in Bengaluru by January 25 and is in talks with institutional investors to raise about $20 million to boost its expansion plans.
Ok Sir is already live in Mumbai, Delhi and Pune with a user base of nearly one lakh customers and provides its customer base with a bouquet of over 150 services across categories with over 50,000 skilled workers, the company said.
“Bengaluru is our fourth destination and we are expecting the same response and encouragement we got from the other three locations,” said OK Sir founder Arun Kapoor.
OK Sir is looking at providing a minimum strength of over 3,000 ‘OK Man’ to provide service back-up to its consumer base across categories.
The company is already in talks with institutional investors to raise series A funding of about $20 million to boost its expansion plans and is looking to initiate operations across 13 Tier I and II locations across India, it said in a release here.
Ok Sir has planned its launch in Hyderabad, Chennai, Kolkata, Goa, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Indore and Chandigarh in a phased manner post its launch in Bengaluru.
It provides all daily needs and emergency services like daily errands, housekeeping, electrical maintenance, legal services, health care and 24×7 services like ambulance, key making and even an emergency helicopter pick-up amongst others.
